June 25th - July 5th, 2010 The 2010 Pilgrimage begins with our arrival in Glastonbury, where we'll settle in for 5 full days at Chalice Well Garden's Retreat House, Little St. Michael’s. While we are there we will be allowed virtually unlimited access to the sacred Garden, an unparalleled privilege. Chalice Well is located at the foot of Glastonbury Tor. Carol will introduce us to its ancient mysteries in which she has immersed herself in since her first visit there in 2001. (This will be her 9th trip “into the mists of Avalon”.) The town of Glastonbury is a friendly, fascinating place that beckons you to explore its quaint streets lined with all sorts of cafes and lovely shops. A highlight of our stay will be a tour of the mesmerizing ruins of Glastonbury Abbey led by noted local authority and author, Mano Warren. During our time in Glastonbury we will also enjoy a day-long journey to the ancient stone circles of Avebury and Stonehenge. Carol is arranging for a private entrance for the pilgrimage group into the stone circle at Stonehenge, an experience unlike anything you can imagine! Completing our pilgrimage will be 4 full days in magical Tintagel on the Cornwall coast, legendary birthplace of King Arthur. Keith and Julie Walker will welcome us at The Bosayne Guest House in its setting of beautiful sea-views and the dramatic Cornish landscape. Their lovely place has been designated a “Gold Green-Tourism Business” and they are rightfully proud to be a “carbon neutral” household. Carol will lead walks to two sacred sites, one being the ancient labyrinth carvings in Rocky Valley, and also to St. Nectan’s Kieve, a most magical glen and waterfall where it is said the Knights of the Roundtable were baptized before setting off on their quests. You must provide your own airfare • all transportation in England • lodging (double occupancy) • 2 meals / day (breakfasts and dinner) • all admissions to tour-sites The deposit is refundable until 1/20/2010 minus a $75 administration fee Group size is limited to 12 people |
